Community within a community
After being accepted into the NDMVA program here in Bend, you will have the opportunity to join the intentional living community that is the Bend Volunteer Community (BVC). Think of it as another, optional layer to your experience. Should you choose to "opt in", members will be invited to integrate the Four Core Values of simple living, social justice, community and spirituality. This is done in a variety of ways: from community meetings and retreats to casual support family dinners and discussions over coffee. If you are "seeking" meaning from your experience this next year, we are eager to walk with you on your journey.
You will also have to opportunity to live in community with other BVC members, sharing an apartment at a local complex with easy access to many work sites. In this way, we at the BVC invite you to join us and to work with other volunteers as you examine the causes of injustice in the Central Oregon area.
