Hello! We are so glad you are interested in joining the Bend Volunteer/ Notre Dame-AmeriCorps Team! Below is all the information you will need to apply to our program. Important Dates
The Bend Volunteer Corps/ Notre Dame-AmeriCorps Team will begin accepting applications for the 2012-2013 service year on February 1, 2012. The service year begins on 9/1/2012 and ends on 7/31/2013.
Requirements
We invite applications from individuals who are over 21 and have work experience or a college education. A high school diploma is required unless the applicant is enrolled in a GED program while serving, and completes his or her GED by the end of the year of service.
Applicants should also possess:
* The willingness to spend a year in the service of others. * Good communication and interpersonal skills. * Ability to be flexible, adaptive, and work on a team. * U.S. Citizenship or be a lawful permanent resident alien. * Commitment to serve as a full-time volunteer for 11 months (or 5 months as a 900 hour volunteer)

+ Notre Dame Application essay and self-reference form- MS Word (email, fax or mail) Be sure to name your first, second, and third choice placements.
+ An official transcript from your last college or university or a copy of your high school diploma (mail)
+ A criminal background check from your state of residence (mail)
+ Intent to join the Bend Volunteer Community - please indicate on your application whether or not you would like to be a part of our intentional living community (BVC). This is a completely optional part of serving in Bend. For more information, go to the "Background" section and pull down "Values/Philosophy".
